Representation: An Introduction

In film making there are 3 main cultural and society terms.

Age - How people are represented by their stage of which they are in within life. This is often by categories such as Adults, children, teens, young adults, toddlers, babies, pre-teens, senior people

Ethnicity - How people are represented by the ancestry this is usually people’s origin. This can be from all over the world. This can cause variation from person to person depending on the ethnicity.

Gender - How people are represented by their sex/gender. This is typically man and woman. However, not everyone wants to identify as a man or woman, so some people are non-binary. These usually go by they/them pronouns
